I loved this book. Although I expected some sort of plot twist, and was disappointed when it ended as expected, I enjoyed every moment.
I have read every work of fiction by the author, and I love her strong female characters. Despite the book being based on the first native american to graduate from Harvard, it is really about a woman wants to break from the traditional female role and has to sneak around to get even a little bit of education.
I really wanted Bethia to stand out...to get more attention than she did throughout the novel.
In the end, I wished there were a few more chapters....
it was a great read!
